[mks_dropcap style=”square” size=”52″ bg_color=”#ff3b3e” txt_color=”#ffffff”]I[/mks_dropcap] know, everyone is as excited as I am. It’s Start Wars after all! While every Star Wars fan out there is waiting for the upcoming movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Google has jumped in to get your excitements to a higher level. Google has just got it self a cool new Star Wars makeover.
I can’t hold the excitement and I’m trying to write this article as fast as I can. And if you can’t hold your geeky sci-fi excitement either, then head over to Google Star Wars page and sign in with your Google account. After signing in, you can choose on which side would you like to be. You can either choose to be with the Resistance (the Rebel Alliance) or the First Order (the Empire).
Google Star Wars Makeover: Which Side Will You Choose?
Without dragging this too much, let me tell you real quickly what Google Star Wars Makeover is all about. Google has gave its major services a makeover. After you choose your side, your Google experience will change dramatically.
The Google Chrome extension installed after your decision will amuse you with Star Wars photos everytime you open a new tab. The progress bar displayed when opening Gmail, YouTube and other services will be changed to lightsabers. Head over to Google Maps and the map pegman gets changed to First Order Stormtrooper or Resistance Pilot. That’s not it, the Stormtrooper or Resistance Pilot, depending upon your choice of side, will jump into either an TIE fighter or an X-wing to guide you to your destination.
Your Google Calender will also be filled with key Star Wars events. Own an Android Wear watch? It will gain a Star Wars watchface. Google Waze users will get C-3PO as their voice guiding companion. Everything about this is just so cool, isn’t it? Well of course it is!
Google Star Wars Madness: That’s Not It!
And if you though this is what Google Star Wars Madness all about, then wait. Because Google says this is just the start. There’s more to coming between today and the release date of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Just to let you know, these Google services are receiving the dose of Start Wars makeover: Android Wear, Chrome, Chromecast, Gmail, Inbox by Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Maps, Google Now, Google Search, Google Translate, Waze, and YouTube.
This will work across Android phone and tablet, iPhone, iPad, Mac and Windows laptop, and Chromebook.
Note: You can not use work/school account for this.
