Now You Can Share Dropbox Files Directly from Facebook Messenger

Sharing photos and videos from your camera roll has always been easier in all chat applications. But when it comes to sharing files stored on cloud, many steps are required to follow. A new collaboration between Facebook’s Messenger and Dropbox now makes it easier to share Dropbox files with your friends directly from chat interface.

The Dropbox file share feature can be accessed via tapping More in Messenger chat window. Selecting Dropbox from available sources will allow users to choose files and share it with other users. This new Dropbox integration will allow Messenger users to quickly and easily share their files, without leaving Messenger.

Media files like photos, videos and GIFs will appear directly in the chat screen, just like they appear when shared from camera roll. All other files can be previewed via Dropbox app by following the link.

“We want people to communicate just the way they want to on Messenger, with everyone they care about,” said Stan Chudnovsky, head of product for Messenger. “Giving our users the ability to share their Dropbox videos and images in Messenger threads with just a few taps will help them bring more style and personality to those conversations.”

Latest Dropbox and Messenger apps will be required on iOS and Android devices to use this new feature. Let us know what you think about this new feature.
